Dependents Coverage

If you want to include your dependents (spouses, children up to age 26 or domestic partners) you need to provide:

Basic Life & AD&D Insurance Coverage

 

Who is Eligible and When:

Permanent full-time employees are eligible the first day of the month following your date of hire.

Benefits You Receive:

Cascades provides full-time salaried employees with 2 times their base salary up to $200,000 in group life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to the employee. If you are age 70 or older your life and AD&D insurance will be limited to 65% of such insurance. Please note there is an IRS regulation that taxes all amounts of employer paid group term life coverages exceeding 50,000.

Optional Benefits:  

Cascades has buy up options for life insurance for the Employee and optional life insurance for Spouse and Children.  To insure a spouse and/or children,  the employee must opt into the optional life insurance plan first.

Disability Insurance Coverage

Cascades provides full-time salaried employees with short and long-term disability income benefits and pays the full cost of this coverage. In the event, you become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, disability income benefits are provided as a source of income. You are not eligible to receive short-term disability benefits if you are receiving workers’ compensation benefits.
